Luis Moya has Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in civil engineering from the National University of Engineering, Peru. He completed his PhD at the Department of Urban Environment Systems in Chiba University, Japan. Currently, he is working on the potential use of Lidar data for automatic detection of crustal displacement, building damage and landslide during earthquakes. He has served as an assistant researcher in the Peru-Japan Center for Earthquake Engineering Research and Disaster Mitigation. In DIM2SEA, he is in charge of developing damage estimation models due to earthquakes and landslides.
